Looking Back at PLMA 2026: Innovation, Trends & the Future of Canned Beverages

PLMA 2026 in Amsterdam once again confirmed that private label remains one of the most dynamic segments in retail. Over two days at RAI Amsterdam, thousands of manufacturers, retailers, and sourcing specialists from more than 75 countries came together to showcase the latest trends, innovations, and future directions of the private label market.

This year’s edition stood out with a strong focus on sustainability, functional innovation, premiumization, and the rapidly growing convenience segment. A major attraction was also the newly designed “Idea Supermarket” area, offering inspiration across both food and non-food categories.

One of the key topics was canned beverage production, where demand continues to grow for functional drinks, energy beverages, flavored waters, and premium RTD products. Increasing emphasis is being placed on production flexibility, innovative recipes, modern packaging design, and sustainable solutions, all of which are becoming crucial factors for both retailers and consumers.

PLMA 2026 was not only about products, but above all about networking, building new partnerships, and sharing experiences. We are leaving the exhibition with valuable inspiration, many new contacts, and confirmation that innovation and flexibility will continue to be key drivers of success in both private label and beverage markets.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our booth for the inspiring meetings, great conversations, and interest in our products and solutions. We look forward to future cooperation and meeting again soon.
